The District of Columbia Defense Force (DCDF) Association has a proud heritage dating back to the establishment of our nation's capital. Our earliest citizen soldiers were the militiamen who defended Washington during the War of 1812. Later, they stood by our Union in the War Between the States and were the home guard during World War I.

The District of Columbia Defense Force Association is the parent organization for a body of uniformed volunteers, the DC Defense Force, which serves the District of Columbia in a variety of roles.  For more information, please click http://www.dcdenseforce.org
