Frequently
Asked Questions
Q. I'm not sure if my online order went through, how do I know?
A. If you see the "Print
Receipt for Your Records" screen, then click on the "Process Order" button
and your order will be successfully placed. After that screen you will see
the "Thank You" screen. If you need further assistance, please e-mail.

Q. After filling out
my address, credit card information, etc., I hit ENTER SECURE DATA and it takes me back to
a blank shopping cart. What is wrong?
A. This usually means that your
browser's "cookies" are turned off. Simply go to the Preferences or
Options in your browser and turn the "cookies" on. This should take care
of the problem. The "cookies" assist in keeping track
of what's in you shopping cart. We NEVER use them for anything
else. For detailed instructions on turning on your cookies, please click here.

Q. How can I
get more yellow order forms for my Unit?
A. Either, e-mail, call 1-800-626-3827 or write us. We will
be glad to send you a full supply with display boards. There is no
cost to you, but please let us know about how many personnel you are
supplying.

Q. When I get my confirmation e-mail, it doesn't list my last name for
the name tapes?
A. We are fixing that
now, most pages will display the name. The rest are only days away.

Q. I
didn't get a confirmation e-mail back, did my order go through?
We get a considerable amount of orders
that have the wrong e-mail address attached, which ends up as undeliverable mail. So,
if you think or know you gave the wrong e-mail address, that may be the reason you didn't
receive your confirmation. However, if you know you gave the right e-mail address,
the next question would be. Did you see the "Print Receipt for Your
Records" screen? If yes, then your order went through. Also, feel free to
e-mail us if you still have any questions.
Q. Do you accept
Bank and Debit cards?
A. Yes, we except most bank and
debit cards, especially if they have a Visa or MasterCard logo on them. However, we
are not able to accept ATM cards.

Q. BDU and DCU, what do they stand for?
A. BDU is the abbreviation for
Battle Dress Uniform, which is the Olive Drab (green) camouflage uniform. DCU is the
abbreviation for Desert Camouflage Uniform, which is the tan camouflage uniform.
They both require different colors of name tapes.

Q. Which side of my uniform do I put my name tapes on?
A. On BDU and DCU uniforms, the
name goes on the right side. This means that if you were wearing the uniform,
the name tape goes on your right side. Consequently, the Branch of Service tape
(U.S. ARMY, U.S. NAVY, etc.) would go on the left side.

Q. Do I cut off my name tapes even with my pockets.
A. NO! Fold the ends
under, this gives finished edges that won't fray. The placement for the name tape is
above the pocket, edge to edge and centered.

Q.
Where do I place my collar ranks sew-on's on the
collar?

Q. Where do I put a 3 inch name tape on my Gore-Tex Jacket?
A. The name tape is sewn on the
flap of the left sleeve pocket. By sewing it on the flap, the jacket remains
water-proof. The tape is sewn on just like a normal name tape, in that, the ends are
folded under and the name is centered edge to edge.

Q. Are Air Force BDU tapes the same as Army tapes?
A. No, Air Force BDU tapes have
blue letters instead of black. They are made on the same color of tape, just
different color letters. However, on DCU's they both use brown letters on tan tape.

Q. Your 1-800-NAME
TAPE phone number has too many letters in it and it doesn't
work!
A. If you dial correctly, it
should work. We test the number daily. The last "E" can be omitted,
however, it will start to ring anyway, even if you dial more numbers than needed.
Also, if you dial 1800 NAME TAG, you reach another company that make plastic signs, etc.,
but not military items. We thank them for their patience, they get several of
our calls.
If you are calling on a cell phone, it
works best when you stop at P. So, dial 1-800-NAME TAP.

Q. What are your office hours?
A. Normal office hours are from
8:30 a.m. to 6:30 pm ET Monday - Friday. If this is not convenient, you can order
online 24 hours a day. Also, this site is maintained 7 days a week and you can
still receive assistance during non business hours. e-mail

Q. What's the fastest way I can have my order shipped?
A. The fastest would be UPS
NEXT DAY AIR. In most cases, you will
receive the order the next business day. We have another less costly method, such as
UPS 2ND DAY AIR, that is estimated 2 business days. UPS may cost more than 1st class mail,
but you will more than likely get them on schedule.

Q. I have an older order form, are the prices still the same?
A. Yes, most of
the name tapes are still
the same. However, a few select items have gone up. We still accept all
older order forms, feel free to mail them in. Most price increases are
less than a dollar. In rare cases, if there is a problem,
we will attempt to contact you and work it out from there.

Q. How long does it take to get my order if I order online?
A. Depending on the method of
shipping, it ranges from 1 to 10 business days. FPO, APO and foreign addresses
may take additional time.
Q. How long does it take to get my order if I mail it in?
A. It usually takes
3-7 days to
get it to us, we will fill the order and ship it that day with 3-7 mailing days to get it
back to you. Once again, FPO, APO addresses and different shipping methods may
change actual delivery times. Normally, it takes 7-10 business days from the day you
mail it to the day you receive it.
Q. Do you accept COD's?
A. Unfortunately not, we produce
custom items that must be paid for before shipping.

Q. Aren't all Army Desert Sew-on ranks suppose to be sewn
in brown thread?
A. No, all enlisted
ranks are sewn in
black thread. However, officers use both black and brown thread, depending on the rank. 2LT would be
in the brown, while 1LT would be black. The same for MAJ, it is brown while
LTC is black. For the color scheme to work correctly, there needs to be both black
and brown thread.
